I had the opportunity at the beginning of 2021 of working on the cover of the 4th issue of @oh_reader magazine, a magazine that mainly talk about books, reading and the lifestyle around that topic.
The theme for this cover was summer so I thought about what would be the best way to represent this subject with reading. Now that I have been living in Canada for a few years, spending time on a wooden deck might sounds cliché but I love it so much I thought it would be great for this illustration.
I opted for a joyful color scheme with a lot of shades of blue, contrasting with the girl reading on the wooden dock, giving to the illustration a very summer-y vibe.
